Got a call from 0161 8541 5860 about my washing machine warranty ending, and they offered to renew it for a cheaper price, dropping from £134 to £97. I played along with their pitch until they had nothing left to say, then told them straight up I knew it was a con. The line went dead right after. I’ve blocked the number now, but I wonder if it’s worth reporting to the cops?

I received a call from a sales representative, supposedly from Electricity Telesales, who clearly hasn't bothered to check the TPS database for numbers that shouldn't be contacted. When I pointed this out to a chap named Ian, he decided to put me on hold, claiming he’d notify his supervisor. Well, Ian, just a heads up - I've taken the liberty of reporting both you and your firm to the TPS for this unnecessary interruption. It’s high time you lot face some penalties; perhaps then, we could all enjoy a little peace in our daily routines!

Some bloke called up saying he was from Eon, but the laugh he did was proper weird - like a car trying to fire up or something. Honestly, i wouldn’t trust him near my kids, that’s all i’m saying.

I received a cheeky call regarding an electricity account and explained that we don’t handle that sort of thing on our end-our head office takes care of it all. When he inquired if I had the number, I kindly mentioned that I didn’t, since it’s actually my first day here.... haha, little does he know I’ve been around for almost two years! I’m just not one to dish out the number; he’s more than welcome to search for it himself. I can only imagine the earful he’ll get if he rings our head office-best of luck to him.... lol!
