Got a call from a bloke looking for a ‘Kaye Brian’, which ain't me. The guy was really nice when I told him he’d rung the wrong number, then I just hung up. Put the number on block now to stop any more calls.

This number has called me more than 50 times at this point - they’re really rude and irritating. They keep trying to get me to make a claim for a crash that never happened!!! Sounds like fraud to me. Now when they ring, I just leave the phone near the radio and say loads of strange things. It’s actually a bit funny now. But honestly, I feel bad for older or vulnerable people ‘cause this is proper bullying. I’m doing my best to get them stopped. When I asked to talk to the manager, they just hung up on me.

I've wrapped up my car insurance claim, yet I'm still being pestered by callers wanting to hustle me for compensation for supposed injuries. My insurance company has it all handled, thank you very much. It’s clearly just opportunists out to score a no win, no fee gig for themselves rather than actually help me. It’s utterly ridiculous!

He claimed our energy deal needed renewing - which it didn’t! Refused to say which company he was from, kept butting in while I was speaking, kept firing questions at me even when I tried to talk over him. I kept saying “did you even ask if I wanted a call?” and he just repeated his sales spiel. It went on until he finally gave up. I figured I might as well waste their call credit. Loads of calls come from 0161 numbers, so I’m wary of picking up anything from Manchester - and I’m from up North myself!

Nuisance call alert - I received a rather persistent call from a chap named Aaron at Tech Legal, who claimed to be following up on an accident I was involved in last year. He mentioned that I'm supposedly entitled to a tidy sum of £2,500 that I'm eligible to claim. However, I didn’t let him carry on and promptly told him to remove my name from his records. This has got to be at least the fiftieth unsolicited call I've received since the incident, with numerous numbers contacting me, many of which seem to have originated from Manchester!

Said they were from a firm checking up on the VW emissions recall and mentioned I could get compensation - they actually knew my reg number and name, but as soon as I said I wasn’t interested, they just ended the call.

Some call centre worker paid to annoy folks about all kinds of things. They said they were with a company named 'First Action' and wanted to chat about a car crash I had. I could tell straight away it was gonna be about some personal injury claim. I hung up before the bloke could even get those words out. I wasnt hurt in the accident and I’m not about to fib just to get some cash. These call centres are just working for scammers trying to make money by any means. It really grinds my gears.

Someone’s been ringing me nonstop, claiming they’re from sse and that my gas & electricity contract is about to end next week. They say if I don’t agree to whatever deal they’re pushing (which we never even get to hear properly) my prices will jump by 40%. The funny thing is, I’m not even a customer of sse! Every time I tell them to stop calling and hang up, they’re back at it within a few days. This has been going on for a good 2 weeks now - just trying to figure out how to block their number on my BT landline!

Said he was from direct legal. Told me he got our info from the other party’s insurance. When I questioned him, he started being rude. These places really should be closed down.

On 23 feb 2017 I got a call from 0161 694 3970 claiming to be Direct Legal. A guy named Gareth was pushy, trying to get info about a car accident for some personal injury claim. Stay away, this company seems dodgy. Gareth first said he was waiting for an email from his boss, then suddenly said he was the manager himself. They refused to tell me where they got my info from. He just guessed and wouldn’t share their website or office address. He accidentally mentioned a solicitor firm called Slater and Gordons, but they deny any connection with this lot.
