Today I got loads of calls from this number, claiming they’re from some PPI firm. They said I’m owed money and wanted me to verify my info. I told them to just post me a cheque instead, and then they went quiet and hung up on me.

I got a call from this number but it hung up right before I could pick up. Don't recognise it at all so I’ve just blocked it. Judging from what others have said, they seem like persistent cold callers who won’t stop until someone actually answers.

Got a call from this number but it hung up just as I was about to pick up. Don’t recognise it so I’ve just blocked it. Looks like from what others say, these cold callers just keep ringing till someone dumb enough to pick up.

Lately I've been getting calls from numbers that don’t show up on my caller ID. When I answer, there’s complete silence for a bit, then the call just drops. One time, I actually heard someone breathing before they whispered "hello" and then just ended the call. It’s honestly pretty creepy. This has happened quite a few times with different unknown numbers.
