So, some bloke from child benefit keeps ringing me up saying it’s about a survey. I told him flat out I don’t have any kids on child benefit or anything, but he just won’t give up. It’s proper annoying!

I received a rather alarming recorded message from someone posing as an HMRC representative. They urged me to press 1 immediately to prevent an arrest warrant being issued against me. Oddly enough, they mentioned something about a tax rebate that I was apparently entitled to. It was quite a menacing voicemail, to say the least! I've since blocked the number and reported them. Stay vigilant!

I received an alarming voicemail from someone pretending to be with HMRC. They insisted I press 1 to prevent an arrest warrant being filed against me, all while claiming I was entitled to a tax refund. The whole message was quite menacing, to say the least! I've swiftly blocked and reported the number-better to be safe than sorry!

I got a call from a woman saying she was with some company named ISS doing a survey about a particular HMRC benefit. She asked for my bank details and National Insurance number, which immediately seemed off. I told her I wasn’t interested and ended the call. Honestly, if HMRC were doing surveys, they’d send official letters asking people to take part, like they have before, not ring up out of the blue on a weekend. Felt like a classic phishing attempt to me!

Someone called asking for Mr Lang, and I just told them they’d got the wrong number. I guess they wanted me to give them my name instead, but I’m not really into that!

They rang me up, saying they're from <company name>'s legal team about a car crash I was meant to have had. I asked, "Which one exactly, I've had a few." They fiddled and said, "The latest one?" Then I asked for the date of this supposed accident, and guess what? They had no clue. If they can't even get the date right for a made-up accident, what are they even doing?
