Got a call from some dodgy lot claiming to be from "Open Reach", sounded like it came from a call centre in India or somewhere similar. The number showed as Manchester but when I asked the lady where she was calling from, she seemed a bit iffy. I pressed her, asking if it was England, Scotland or Wales, and she gave a London address for Open Reach. Then I told her the number looked like it was from abroad and bam - she just hung up on me! Proper scam if you ask me.

You gotta watch out for these overseas call centres - they manage to use what seems like a proper UK number. The tricky part is, they shuffle the last 7 digits after the fake area code all the time. So when you try to look up the number, you won’t find any previous reports or comments. Now, you might wonder why I’m even leaving this comment if no one else has seen this exact number before. Fair point, I guess!
