Got a message and an email from Origin claiming my landline spending limit was almost hit. The text seemed sketchy but the email looked legit, though it had this number included. Ended up waiting nearly two hours on the phone to chat with an Origin rep, who said the whole thing was a mistake and my account’s perfectly fine. Imagine if an older or vulnerable person got those messages? Origin, you seriously gotta fix this soon!

Got an email claiming to be from Origin Broadband saying the spending limit was almost hit and that the phone line might get restricted. They told us to call this number. It really upset my 88-year-old mother-in-law, made her quite anxious.

Got some emails from this number saying I hit my credit limit on phone calls, which I was already aware of. I rang up Origin today and they told me the number is actually from their Collections Department. Since I pay everything by Direct Debit, they said the emails were just a mistake, not a scam. They apologised for the confusion and said they've fixed the problem now.

Got a message about an overdue broadband bill from Origin BB, telling me to ring 01616 691 275 to sort a payment plan. Thing is, I pay everything through direct debit and Origin already charged me in full on 9th Oct 2023. Makes no sense why I got that message.
