None of the folks on the other end spoke proper English, total rip-off. I’ve gone ahead and blocked their number now. Seriously, be cautious and don’t share any info with them. If you get a call from an unfamiliar number, best not to answer. When they hang up, check here to figure out who called. If you want to hide your number before calling back, dial 141 then their number.

I received a phone call claiming they could help me reclaim money for excess payments on my gas and electricity bills. It’s nothing but a scam, really.

Some bloke rang saying he could help me reclaim cash from energy firms charging me too much (seemed nice enough, honest). He asks, "Do you have gas, electric, or just gas?" I reply, "I run off solar power only." Then he goes, "So you're totally off-grid then?" I say, "Yeah, completely." Next question, "Who’s your provider?" I grin and say, "The Sun God." You could tell he was thrown off his little script after that, mumbling something like, "Alright mate, thanks and have a good one." *facepalm*
