I've received my fifth call from this number now, and it's always the same - just a cacophony of background noise with no one actually saying anything. Today, after finally blocking the number, I got a voicemail, but when I listened to it, it was just that same annoying din and absolutely no proper message. What a nuisance!

Got a call from some firm called Money Advisory. They wanted to know if I lived in a council or rented place, asking about any repair issues. I just said I owned the house and left it at that. I keep telling these lot I own the place (I actually don’t, but can't be bothered arguing) and then hung up. Blocked their number straight away.

No idea what they were after but they asked if I was renting from the council or a housing association. I said no, then they asked if I was a private tenant, I said yes (even though I own my place). Caller just replied ok, thanks and hung up. That was it!

0161 667 7873 Got a call from a friendly lady earlier today claiming she was from Macclesfield. She used my middle name, which I hardly ever go by and she seemed to struggle saying it properly. Asked if I owned my place or rented it. I told her I’m a tenant, then she just said thanks and hung up straight away.

JUST GOT A CALL LIKE THAT LIFE INSURANCE REVIEW SCAM, THEN ANOTHER ONE ASKING IF MY PLACE WAS COUNCIL OR HOUSING ASSOC, AND ABOUT DAMP, MOULD, BROKEN WINDOWS, THAT SORT OF THING. THE WOMAN SAID HER NAME WAS SUNNI AND SOUNDED SUPER BRIGHT AND CHEERY, BUT KIND OF FAKE. I TOLD HER I’D ALREADY HAD A SIMILAR CALL AND WASN’T REALLY UP FOR CHATTING WITH SOMEONE I DIDN’T KNOW. THESE CALLS REALLY GIVE ME THE JITTERS, AND I WORRY SOME FOLKS MIGHT FALL FOR THEM BECAUSE THEY SOUND FRIENDLY.
