At first I actually believed it to be a genuine letter but then I quickly caught on it was just some scam. What a bunch of total muppets.

Got a letter claiming I’d won some cash, which I was pretty sure wasn’t true, but I gave the number a ring anyway. This guy Dave Brown told me I’d won and asked if I wanted the money sent by cheque or bank transfer. The moment I said cheque, he hung up super fast. It’s crazy how these scams keep going - anyone know how to get them shut down?

My dad, who lives on the Isle of Wight, got this letter dated 13th Oct 2017 claiming he’d won 600k. He reckoned pretty sharp away it was dodgy and didn’t fall for it, thank goodness he’s still got his wits about him!
