Received a call from this number, and the chap on the other end claimed we had shown interest in upgrading our iPhone (which we acquired via O2). He insisted that we weren't eligible for an upgrade, which seemed a bit off to me! However, it became clear he was poised to sell us something once he realised he had miscalculated our contract dates. He thought we were due for an upgrade on the 11th of April 2008, when in fact, it’s the 4th of November 2008. After realising the mix-up, he expressed his gratitude and hung up. Just another outfit trying to push an upgrade on our plan, it seems.

I am currently making calls in the USA as of March 2015. However, I am using Vodafone services that offer global coverage and European rates. I have successfully blocked the particular phone number that was causing issues. If you have an HTC phone, you can go to the people app and find the three dots icon located at the top right of the screen.
