I got a call from this number claiming to be from Payroll, asking me to verify my bank details for Acorn Recruitment, the place I just signed up with for a job. Something felt off since the woman sounded foreign and was pushing me to give my NI number and banking info right there on the phone. I refused and said I'd get in touch with Acorn directly, then ended the call. Feels really dodgy to me, like a sneaky way to grab personal info for scamming purposes. Definitely be careful with calls like this!
