Just got a call from 01616608720 and straight away added it to my phone’s block list. I only just renewed with BT, bit annoyed but they told me to sign up for 1572, it’s like a blocking service coz my call block was already full. I’ve started putting every unwanted number there now, and it actually works the day after you sign up. If you ring BT, they’ll sort it for you. Had no clue about this till recently, but if everyone uses it, those annoying callers will be pointless soon enough.

Got a call from this number on my phone. Didn’t pick up since I had no idea who it was. No voicemail or anything which was odd. What’s weirder is they rang my Luxembourg mobile from the UK, probably costing them a pretty penny. The craziest part is I don’t even live in the UK!

For the past month, this terrible company has been calling me every single day, prompting me to take action and report them. They use an automated system that starts with a generic greeting, and then proceeds to talk about boilers and their associated benefits. Despite being registered with TPS (Telephone Preference Service), it seems to have no effect in stopping these relentless calls.

I missed a call at 11:38 am on 24th January 2017; however, I was able to obtain the number through the 1471 service. Upon researching it, I discovered that the calling party belonged to a fraudulent company. It is quite concerning that despite being registered with the TPS (Telephone Preference Service), numerous suspicious calls still manage to get through. This can be particularly alarming as vulnerable individuals might be the ones responding to these calls.

Got a call from this number a few minutes ago, about 12.20pm on 23/1/17. It was one of those recorded messages talking about LPG, tax credits and boilers. I figured I’d listen through the whole thing. At the end, I pressed 9 to try and opt out from future calls by them. Not convinced it’ll work, but fingers crossed.

I own a BT Call Guardian home phone, which automatically filters out calls from numbers not included in my contact list. However, it records the details of the calls that are unsuccessful in getting through. Around three to four times per week, I come across numbers of this nature, including various scam calls. Thanks to using this phone, I no longer receive any unwanted calls.

The Manchester Mafia is once again attempting to seek advantages, not from the government, but from unsuspecting individuals who might fall for the misleading idea of a free boiler.
