Just got a call from 01616608720 and straight away added it to my phone’s block list. I only just renewed with BT, bit annoyed but they told me to sign up for 1572, it’s like a blocking service coz my call block was already full. I’ve started putting every unwanted number there now, and it actually works the day after you sign up. If you ring BT, they’ll sort it for you. Had no clue about this till recently, but if everyone uses it, those annoying callers will be pointless soon enough.

Got a call from this number at 11:38 in the morning on 24/01/17 but I missed it. They left a voicemail, so I rang the number back and found out it’s a known scam. Got a call from this number a few minutes ago, about 12.20pm on 23/1/17. It was one of those recorded messages talking about LPG, tax credits and boilers. I use one of those Call Guardian phones and I’d already blocked this number last week, so seems like the scammers have worked out a way past BT’s call guardian now. :( Honestly, what a pain.

Got a call at 8.05am but my voicemail is quite long and clearly says "I’m on the TPS and this number will be reported" plus I mention that calls from international, withheld or out-of-area numbers won’t be picked up! Been getting odd calls from what sounds like some ‘Manchester Mafia’ lot, trying to palm off this ‘free boiler’ deal on anyone daft enough to fall for it. Nothing ever catches up with them. Since May 2016, the rules say call centres gotta show a phone number on caller ID, but all they do is fake it, often making it look like it’s from nearby so you’re more tempted to pick up.
