A woman from their call centre then answered. I asked her why she thought it was acceptable to waste my time and disturb me like that. She claimed I had called them first! Got a phone call from this number but it went straight to answerphone before I could even pick up. Tried ringing 1571 back and it was dead silent, like completely quiet with no usual call centre sounds. Maybe it's some automated dialling machine? So I looked up other people’s experiences here. Then I checked the TPS site to see if I was still on their list. I was, so I thought I’d make a complaint. That’s when I found out TPS are pretty useless for this sort of thing. Better off contacting OFCOM or the ICO instead.

Honestly, I don’t get why such folks don’t just keep to themselves and multiply somewhere else. They’re an absolute pain and don’t seem to help anyone, human or animal alike!

I received a pre-recorded call inquiring whether anyone was claiming benefits or receiving tax credits. They prompted me to press 5 for further details or 9 to decline any more communications. Quite suspicious if you ask me!
