What I've done with TRS Pensions on the couple of times they've rang me is just put the phone down and let them go on like they're chatting to thin air! But now, I've switched to sending their calls straight to voicemail.

Getting calls every day from 0161-660-7337. I’m based in Canada and they keep phoning me at my job. From what I’ve read on here, looks like they found me through LinkedIn. Problem is, my personal info isn’t on there, so I reckon they called the company I work for and asked for my direct line. These idiots did the same thing last year and the year before that too. Now I just don’t pick up when they ring at work - no clue how to block them on a work phone. They never bother leaving a voicemail either.

It seems I've fallen victim to some dodgy pension con artists who clearly managed to get hold of my number through questionable means. These pension scammers are getting my number from somewhere, but it’s definitely not LinkedIn, as I never shared it there. When I confronted them about the source and denied it came from LinkedIn, I even suggested they might be acting illegally to get my details. Their reply was basically that I shouldn't have made my number public (which I absolutely haven’t), and then they just hung up on me.

I keep getting calls from this number, first it was at my job and now they’re ringing my personal phone. I used to work in the UK but now I’m settled in Ireland. They claim they can assist with unlocking your UK pension. Since I’m in the pension business, I’m pretty clued up and kept telling them I’m not interested. No clue how they even got hold of my mobile. They don't give up easily. It might not be a full-on scam but I bet their charges are ridiculous and the advice isn’t the greatest. Best steer clear!

I've had six rings in the past week from someone about my YouInvest SIPP. The only way to stop these calls is by emailing them directly to block third party contacts. I never answered, but it's definitely something to do with pensions. I suppose they need to make money somehow...

Just like others have said, I got a message on LinkedIn from a recruiter who seemed legit, appeared in my network and was even recommended. They wanted a quick intro call. Then the following day, the ringing started daily. Even after I told them I wasn't interested, the calls just didnt stop. Oddly enough, no more messages from the recruiter themselves!

I'm based in the Netherlands and got a call today from a UK number. A very courteous young bloke said he was ringing from CRS/CLS and asked if I was a Brit currently living overseas. When I asked him how he found my number and what his company actually does, he claimed a researcher discovered my details online, probably on LinkedIn. He said they were contacting Brits abroad to offer advice on UK pensions. He wanted to know if I’d accrued any pension while I was still in the UK. Once I mentioned I left the UK at 18, he lost interest. It seemed a bit fishy since I rarely get cold calls from the UK, especially on my mobile, although my number is on my website and possibly found through LinkedIn. Looking online, I found a company called CRS Consultants Ltd that do financial advice but their listed number had a 01606 area code.

Living in France, I recently got a call on my old landline from one of those typical "phone scams." The woman claimed she’d grabbed my number off Facebook, which is odd since I keep my number private on there. She went into this whole spiel about being from some CRS or CLS (hard to catch between her rambling) and said she wanted to help me unlock a UK pension. For starters, I’m in my 40s. Also, I work in fraud investigations for a big high street bank. As soon as I mentioned that, she suddenly seemed very eager to hang up. Bit suspicious if you ask me!
