Got a voicemail from this number by accident. You can hear one guy chatting to a customer while another, who must be the caller, is coaching him using phrases like "once in a lifetime chance" and all that. The coach even laughed in a kind of sneering way. Honestly, I'd say just block it!

01616604398 I asked straight up which company he was ringing from, and he told me he was Tom Maison from Aviva. Thing is, I don’t have any life insurance with Aviva, so I’m pretty sure it’s a scam. I’m going to let Aviva know that some dodgy firm is using their name to trick people. Really annoying!

Got a call from a call centre number with a Manchester area code. There was a long pause before anyone spoke and when they did, they butchered my name, so I told them they had the wrong person. Despite that, the caller carried on, mumbling something about where they worked, which I couldn’t understand. Then they claimed they were conducting a survey, but oddly mentioned my policy was current. I asked what policy they meant, but honestly, I’d had enough and ended the call there. I’ve since blocked the number after noticing they’d rung me several times before.

Received a call from this number on 16th July 2019. It was a lady with a distinct foreign accent. I requested her to articulate her words more clearly and clarify her purpose, as her English was quite hard to follow. Unfortunately, she just kept regurgitating the same jumbled message, almost as if it were on a loop - incredibly frustrating! I’ve been receiving those pesky calls on my mobile too. I discovered a little trick: if you answer the call and simply stay quiet for about three or four seconds, they often just cut off. When I checked the reports, it said things like Debt Collector from June 25 and Life Insurance from May 20 - so clearly this number gets used for a few different things. I've gone ahead and blocked it now. I'd recommend others do the same to avoid any hassle.
