They said they were from "UK Energy" this time. After getting multiple annoying calls and asking them to stop, I just went ahead and blocked the number.

They keep ringing my mobile, always asking how I am today! I just want to know what they actually want. When they ask if I pay bank fees, I tell them I'll report them to the police and trading standards, then hang up. But they just carry on calling. Can't they be stopped somehow?

totally a scam, dont fall for it! blocked them right away. but if your bored and stuck in traffic, mess with them like i did once. i invented a crazy story about owing loads of money and kept them on the phone forever. then when they wanted my address, i told them i was a squirrel living in a tree! you should’ve heard the fool on the other end, couldn’t believe it. they even paid for the call, absolute joke. total muppets!

No business name given, and you can’t ring them back. That’s usually a dead giveaway they’re dodgy. If a company won’t let you get in touch, they’re definitely hiding something. Best just to block and steer clear.

Got a call on 12th Oct 2015 at about 5.02pm. Picked up but the line went dead straightaway, no one said a word.

i got a call from some place in manchester saying they were a 'help line' for debt issues. they kept refusing to confirm who i was or give me any info about their company. also, when i asked about their data protection officer, they just wouldn’t say. honestly, best idea is to keep a noisy whistle handy so next time they ring, you can give them a proper telling off.

I got a call from this firm saying I owed money and asked how I intended to sort it. Thing is, I haven’t got any debts whatsoever. As soon as I told them that, they just cut the call straight away. No idea where they found my number, but it’s clearly a dodgy outfit trying to scam folks by fishing for personal details.

So, this person rang us up and said, "Hello, how's it going?" We asked them who they were, and they went on to say they were calling because of some debt issue. We informed them that we had no debts whatsoever, and just like that, they hung up! Quite the odd encounter, I must say.
