I got a recorded call from a lady saying she’s from bank security, telling me there were strange transactions on my account. At the end, they gave you two choices: press 1 to authorise payments or press 2 to speak to their security team. Obviously, picking either option just leads to them trying to swindle your bank info and drain your account. The number they used looked like a local one, so it might have been cloned or bought off BT. Seems like BT’s selling numbers without care, accidentally helping these con artists.
