Seriously, I’ve NOT been in any accident, so stop calling!10 yearsI've received yet another call from someone in Manchester since I put my motor up for sale on Gumtree last weekend. Both callers have trotted out the same old line about how they believe I've had a car accident and that I might be eligible for some sort of compensation. The first chap had the audacity to mention my vehicle registration number and even my first name, but when it came to offering any more details, he was utterly stumped-no surprises there, I reckon he found it all from my Gumtree listing! The most recent caller was adamant that he couldn’t disclose any particulars about the vehicle I supposedly crashed, although he did manage to confirm my first name. I decided to have a bit of fun and kept him on the line for a good five minutes, having a right laugh while I was at it. He continuously requested my address to send me information via post and informed me that the call was being recorded. In the end, he got quite frustrated and threatened to hang up, which he eventually did. Victory!
