I received a call earlier from someone who said they were ringing me regarding the shoddy performance and sluggish speed of my internet connection, supposedly representing BT. However, as soon as I mentioned that I don’t even have an account with BT, the caller abruptly ended the conversation. Quite the charmer, wasn’t he?

Got a call from someone claiming to be with BT, saying my internet was running slow (classic scam beginning). The connection was rubbish and his accent was hard to get, so I told him I couldn’t hear properly and ended the call. Right after, he rang me back from a different number, something like 00359878005714. When I answered, he asked if I could hear better this time, I said yes but told him I wasn’t interested and hung up again. That second number looked like it was from Bulgaria. Pretty sure it was a scam attempt.
