Somebody called me pretending they were from ‘Beneficial’ with a funny accent, sounded dodgy. I just cut the call straight away and blocked the number.

I got a call from this number the other day, and the person asked for me but only used part of my surname (I’m Barrel). When I corrected them, she just hung up. She never said why she was calling in the first place.

Got a call from a number that Truecaller labelled as Swansealt. The lady asked if I was Mr Anderson, I said no. Then she wanted to know if I was a family member or something. Quite odd really.

Today, on 12th May, I got a call on my mobile from this number. They didn't leave any voicemail or message. Pretty sure it was just another scam call.

A caller claiming to be from Beneficial Bank rang me up wanting to verify some info. They mentioned an address and asked if it was mine. I told them I’d moved years ago, not that one. When they pushed for my current address, I flat out refused to share it. That’s when they got rude, started swearing and labelled me a time waster. I wasn’t having any of it and gave as good as I got.
