Absolutely dodgy scammers! One minute they ring claiming to be from a Debt Management firm, the next they’re pretending to be British Gas... It’s obvious they’re after your bank info to drain your account! Don’t just take this nonsense - report them straight away to ACTION FRAUD on 0300 123 2040 or check their site for info. If we all pitch in, we can keep the elderly and those more at risk safe from these nasty fraudsters.

I ended the call straight away after picking up. Probably trying to spot anyone who sounds like they might be easy to trick or just too nice? Judging by the other replies, it’s obviously a scam anyway.

I recently had an unsettling call from this number, which I’ve since blocked. The chap on the other end was extremely unpleasant and rather overbearing. He demanded to speak with my daughter, and when I informed him that I was her mother and currently at my workplace, he just kept insisting loudly for me to put her on. I reiterated that she wasn’t available and that I was busy with work, but he replied rudely, asking why I hadn’t mentioned it earlier-when I clearly had. Then he sort of dropped a name, something like "superintendent," but I didn’t catch it all. He claimed there was nothing to fret about and simply wanted to inquire if she was in any financial trouble. At that point, I firmly told him I wouldn’t tolerate his tone and ended the conversation.

They kept ringing me over and over, each time pretending to be from British Gas or something similar. I told them I can’t switch because it’s a council house but they didn’t seem to care. I tried being polite, thinking they’d get the message and stop, but nope, they called at least three times today alone. Feels like a different person each time and they probably don’t even keep track of the calls. Might’ve shouted at them if I wasn’t trying to stay calm, so I just blocked the number now. Still shows they tried to ring though. Proper irritating!

So gross. I thought it was a call I was waitin' for so I picked up. Turns out it was some debt management nonsense. Told 'em I ain't got any debts and ain't interested. Right before they cut me off, they went on about checking my credit report!! Proper nasty.

It was one of those debt management companies. I gave them a minute just to listen what they wanted. I was in the bath, waiting on a crucial call, so when they rang I just asked nicely if they could ring me later. Their answer was, I’ll check with my boss if we’re allowed to call you back!
