Had enough of these calls. Kept telling them my pension details are private, no way am I sharing anything. Told 'em if they kept ringing it was harassment and I'd report them. They kept saying it was a government thing, calling everyone. Since I live in Scotland, I told them even if Nicola Sturgeon herself phoned, I wasn’t interested and to stop calling me. Had loads of calls from these lot, they say they’re linked with the FCA - but when I asked for their registration or permission number they just hung up. If they were legit, they’d need to be authorised and regulated by the financial conduct authority. Plus, judging by the glowing reviews here, it seems like they might be posting fake positive comments themselves. Totally steer clear!

Did you ever bother to ask what the call was about? Did you let them quickly explain why they wanted to review your pension? If not, then maybe you should just leave it be and quit making pointless comments. From what I know, they ask questions because pension providers keep our info secure, so they only get a little bit of data. I’m a pensioner with Aviva, and I’m really thankful they helped me claim back my frozen work pension from my old private employer.

I’ve got this number blocked as well. The caller said they were from the Philippines, claiming to represent the ‘National Audit and Pension Review Committee’ (seriously) and said they’re a UK firm based in Manchester. They kept pestering me for pension info. Wouldn’t share their phone number or their UK company registration number (which they would have if legit). The bloke on the phone called himself ‘Ian’. At least I know a name, but seriously, don’t give them your details. It’s clearly a scam.

It is highly likely that this is yet another scam attempt. It is recommended to answer the call without saying anything. Got a call from someone claiming to be the 'national pensions review board'. After a polite chat, I told them I wasn't interested and asked them to take my number off their list and not call back. I strongly believe that the elderly and vulnerable, in particular, are susceptible to revealing personal information in these interactions. It ranges from being an unwanted invasion of privacy to potentially being a scam. We need to put an end to this immediately.

Suspecting it was a scam, I immediately ended the call. It is important not to disclose any personal information. However, I chose not to disclose any information and instead asked for their website or for them to send their inquiries through traditional mail. Despite my request, they continued to insist on their affiliation and persisted with their questioning. Frustrated, I decided to end the call by hanging up.
