I received a call from 01616272200 yesterday, but I tend not to pick up for numbers I'm unfamiliar with.

I've received calls from this number all afternoon. Each time, they pick up, but then they just hang up without saying a word. It's rather irritating, to be honest - they're a right bother!

I just received a rather peculiar call from Whittaker and Wood Group on the number 0161 627 2200, and they were firing off a barrage of questions at me. They started with, "Are you the owner of your home?" then proceeded to inquire about the age of my kitchen. Next came inquiries about whether my bedroom furniture was free-standing or built-in, and they wanted to know how long I’ve had that furniture. Funny, they seemed rather fixated on my kitchen age again! They even requested I verify my postcode - my advice? You might want to give them a fabricated one. Soon enough, they started raving about a draw where I could supposedly snag hundreds of pounds in vouchers, but they only want to ring back if I’m one of the ten lucky winners. Well, isn’t that just delightful! When I probed about their website, they put me on hold, and upon returning, informed me it was 'under construction'. Quite the coincidence to be cold-calling people when your website doesn’t seem to be functioning, isn’t it? They claimed to be based in Manchester and that they’ve been around for 27 years. All of this definitely reeks of a dodgy scam call. Just to clarify, I'm not the homeowner - I rent from someone who could be reached at the very same 0161 627 2200 number. A right shambles, if you ask me!

On the 18th of September, 2012, around 12:50 in the afternoon, I received a call from a woman sporting a distinctive Manchester accent, inquiring for a Mr. X. However, given that there are multiple individuals with that name residing at this address, I sought further clarification. She then requested to speak to the homeowner directly. When I probed about the nature of her call, she simply expressed her gratitude for my time and promptly ended the conversation. After scanning through other people’s experiences, it seems highly likely that this might have been a cold call from a home improvement company. The only plausible way they obtained our number seems to be through another business selling it, which would indeed sidestep the regulations set out by the Telephone Preference Service. The only other firm we've had any dealings with recently is either Betta Kitchens or Ultimo Kitchens or whatever name they’re trading under these days - a direct sales operation based in Warrington at Winwick Quay.

I've just had a rather curious phone call from 0161 627 2200, claiming to represent Whittaker & Wood. They actually apologised for bothering me on a Sunday afternoon! The woman proceeded to inform me about some so-called free vouchers totalling £834, at which point I swiftly ended the call. I’m registered with the Telephone Preference Service, so it's quite troubling that these folks are managing to bypass that. Not impressed at all!

I received a call from this number yesterday after I made an inquiry about the age of my kitchen and also asked for an address and postcode. Strangely, the same number has tried to contact me again today-twice! I used the 1471 service, and it revealed the number 01616272200. Quite peculiar, if you ask me!

I’ve received calls from this number multiple times, but I tend to ignore any calls from unfamiliar numbers. Interestingly, when I checked via 1471, it showed that the caller had withheld their number.

I've been plagued by the incessant ringing of 0161 627 2200 for what feels like ages now-it's been weeks, to be precise. The constant calls are quite bothersome, invading my personal space. Simply ignoring them hasn't put a stop to their persistence. I'm starting to wonder if there's a link between this number and yet another irritating caller, 0161 620 9600.

Bloomin' nuisance calls! They're relentless, aren't they? I'm left wondering who on earth these callers are and how they managed to get their hands on my number. It's absolutely maddening!

I recently received a call from this number. It seems to be linked to Rahman Packaging based in Oldham, but I've no clue why they'd be reaching out to me out of the blue.

I received a call from 0161 627 220, and the person on the other end claimed to be with the Whittaker and Wood group, trying to entice me with a voucher valued at £800 for home enhancements. However, when I requested their business address, the caller seemed flustered and abruptly ended the conversation. Quite suspicious if you ask me!

Received a call from 0161 627 2200, so I decided to let my answering machine handle it - it’s the only way to go these days with all the pesky calls about. I gave them a ring back, only to be informed that this service doesn’t work with the call. Honestly, I’m at my wit's end with BT; I’m seriously considering having them disconnect my landline entirely. The nuisance is just too much! I’m tempted to stick exclusively to my O2 mobile and ditch the rest.

Had a ring from 0161 627 2200 at about 7:55 in the evening, claiming to represent Whittaker & Wood. When I inquired why they were unsolicitedly contacting me, they insisted it was merely a promotional call, not a cold one. However, upon requesting the caller's name, she abruptly cut the line. Quite the peculiar experience!

I received a call from this company as well, much like the others have mentioned. When I threatened to inform the police about their antics, they promptly disconnected the line!

I received a phone call where they claimed to have over £800 in vouchers available for eligible customers. When they inquired if I owned my home, I responded negatively, and promptly, they ceased communication. Fingers crossed that's the last we see of them!

I've been plagued by incessant calls from this number as well. Whenever I request them to take my number off their list, they just cut the line. It’s infuriating!

On Sunday the 17th of June, I received a couple of calls from this number. I decided against answering, as I prefer to let my voicemail take care of it. If it’s someone I recognise, I’ll give them a call back! Just so you know, the Telephone Preference Service is completely ineffective for me; it fails to block any unsolicited calls at all.

Hi Steve, we tried ringing that number to find out when the packaging company would be available, but all we got was a ring and nothing else. Quite odd, isn’t it?

Received a call this afternoon on a rather relaxed Sunday. The person on the other end introduced herself as Robin from Baker & Brown. She mentioned having some vouchers to offer. I pointed out that I had previously asked them to refrain from calling me, to which she insisted, rather absurdly, that this was the first instance she'd reached out to me. I requested her to ensure that it would be the last time I’d hear from them, and without so much as a courteous response, she abruptly hung up. Very charming indeed!
