They keep ringing from a bunch of different numbers, changing them daily. I've had to block this one and will block any new ones too. Best to keep caller ID on and just ignore calls from numbers you don’t recognise. Sometimes it’s an automated call that just waits for you to pick up, and if there’s silence, you can expect a scammer to ring back later from the same or another number. Definitely best not to engage with these calls at all.

Answered the call then quickly ended it, now they keep switching their numbers so I had to block them once more.

Got a call from a lady who sounded Asian, ringing my 89-year-old mum. She claimed to be from a free call-blocking company for pensioners. She already knew my mum’s full name, address, date of birth, and phone number. Then she started asking who pays the phone bill and even tried to get her Visa card info. I reckon they've pieced together all this info from earlier calls and are just phoning back to squeeze out a bit more.

An Asian lady rang my elderly mum, who’s 89, claiming to represent a call blocking service that’s supposedly free for pensioners. I reckon they’ve chipped away at gathering her details over several calls and are now attempting to extract more sensitive information.
