At first, I figured it was some kind of scam, but turns out the number is legit. It’s a company that handles O2 upgrades and business deals on their behalf. They can be a bit pushy with calls, but when I checked with O2 Business, they said it's all above board. They seemed really clued up and must have had my contract details, so I felt okay trusting them. Glad I did, especially since I ended up giving them my payment info!

Got a few missed calls from this number. When I picked up, they claimed to be from o2 business about an upgrade. They wanted me to confirm my details, but I said I’d rather ring the official o2 number before giving anything out. Then they said to prove they were genuine, I had to give a fault address and my real address so they could compare. I rang o2 myself and they confirmed it wasn’t their number or anyone working for them. They’ve now put this number on their scam list.

I've had this call several times now, and every time I tell them I’m not interested in upgrading my O2 phone, they still keep calling. It’s the O2 upgrade team calling from Manchester. I decided to call O2 myself using the 0800 2 number and managed to get a discount on my monthly bill for the next year. The Manchester team usually calls when your contract is ending or has ended, so it’s worth giving the 0800 2 number a try to see if you can get a deal. I’m on a SIM-only plan and ended up getting £5 off per month on each line for a year.

I promptly cut off this number without hesitation after letting it ring and choosing not to pick up. A quick Google search led me to block it immediately. I tend to ignore calls from unknown numbers; if it’s vital, I trust they’ll drop a voicemail. I've just had a look at my blocked numbers, and it seems they’ve tried to contact me another four times. Seriously, don’t engage with this lot, everyone!

some woman rang askin for the 02 account holder. i asked where she was calling from and she said 02. i told her if she was really from 02 she’d know who had the account. she replied she did but couldn’t tell me due to data protection since i didnt say a business name. she also said if i wasnt happy with the call we could just end it. i said alright then, goodbye.
