Someone said they were from HMRC but it was obvious they weren’t.

Got a call from someone with an American accent saying they were from HMRC and telling me to ring them back. I'm quite sure HMRC normally contacts people through postal letters, not phone calls. Interestingly, I also received a similar call on my London number 02033183738. Feels a bit dodgy to me!
