Got a call about solar energy, no one said a word when I picked up. Rang back and tried to opt out by pressing option 2, but I still ended up speaking to someone. I told them I'm not interested in any solar sales, and the person replied with a really rude 'if you're certain then okay'. Honestly, just don’t answer it and block the number straight away.

On my iPhone, I’ve arranged it so that when a number I don’t recognise rings, it automatically picks up and asks what the caller wants. If I’m not available to respond further, the caller gets told to leave a message. It’s been pretty useful, especially for dealing with random calls.
