Got a call from 0161 568 1146 and it was one of those fake automated things trying to sound legit with noises like a busy call centre in the background. The message kicked off with "Hello can you hear me", then paused like it was waiting for me to reply before jumping into some spiel about vehicle finance and saying I might be owed cash. I just left it ringing without saying anything and eventually it said, "Sorry I didn’t get that, I’ll try again later". This time of year these scams definitely come around more, so be careful! I’ve already blocked the number.

I got a missed call earlier, so I decided to call back. It was some sort of automated voice saying, "Jackie from the Redress Scheme, may I ask who's speaking?" I didn’t bother continuing and just blocked the number.
