Didn't catch the company name, which is typical for these calls. Some guy with an Indian accent kept hassling me about running a broadband speed and price comparison. I told him again and again that I'm sorted with BT, but he just wouldn't take the hint. He seemed to know all my info already but wanted me to confirm my house number - I said no. After I told him to delete my info since I’m on the TPS, he just carried on chatting away. Eventually, I gave up and ended the call, then blocked the number.

Got a call at 4:57pm, didn’t leave any message, so I just blocked the number.

Got another call from this number just now, my second one in a couple of days. It rang out and went straight to voicemail, but there was no message waiting. Definitely putting it on my block list now.

Watch out, this is a nasty scam! If you get a call from 0300 123 2040, please make sure you report it to ACTION FRAUD straight away. They’re really targeting older people and those who are more vulnerable. We’ve got to look out for each other. Cheers, Simon.
