The caller gave me the final 3 digits of my number and claimed to be from my phone provider. Funny enough, I’d just been to the shop a couple days earlier setting up a cheap new contract. He was trying to convince me he could offer a better deal! I told him I’d just come from the store and suddenly he changed his story, saying he was from a company offering bolt-ons to upgrade my extras! Complete scam. I wasn’t having any of it and refused to give away any info. He got annoyed and I just hung up. Number blocked straight away.

Lately, I’ve been getting more calls from this dodgy outfit again! The number that pops up on my caller ID looks like a proper Manchester landline, 0161, but it’s totally fake - I reckon they’re using Wi-Fi calling from India to spoof it. Just recently, I also started seeing calls from a couple of numbers with the 01423 prefix, which are similar but slightly different. I reported and blocked all these numbers. Honestly hope some nasty karma hits everyone behind this scam bunch, maybe something like explosive diarrhoea - they deserve it for harassing folks! Haha!
