I've been getting loads of dodgy calls from this number and others that look the same.

So, a guy with an Indian accent rang me up yesterday (17/05/21) from this number. He was saying something about a government programme for people renting from the council or housing associations, about claiming money back for fixing stuff in your home. I told him everything in my place was spot on and didn’t need any fixing. After that, he seemed a bit let down and just hung up.

Someone rang me pretending to represent my housing association. They abruptly ended the call when I mentioned that I don’t actually belong to one. Quite suspicious, if you ask me!

They rang my home phone but didn’t bother leaving a voicemail, so it couldn’t have been anything urgent. The number looks unfamiliar, so I’m guessing it was probably some annoying sales pitch or one of those dodgy scam calls. I can’t block the number on my landline unfortunately, but I have managed to block it on my mobile now at least.

I got a call from a recorded message with an English accent claiming it was about a government program offering a free A-rated boiler. I didn't answer at first, but later decided to call the number back just to check. The voicemail said it was a "marketing company" and told me to press 9 if I wanted to opt out of any future calls. Looks to me like they're just gathering leads to sell to installers. Honestly, the companies buying these leads should be held accountable too.
