Got a call from this number at half past eight in the morning, and all I got was silence before they ended the call. They've called me two other times before. It's clearly a scammer fishing for your info. They use that classic trick about a family member being in a car crash. Don’t bother calling back, and if anyone does answer, just tell them to jog on.

Got a call from some scammer saying I was in a car crash, but I don’t even drive. The number was from Manchester, I think the area code was that. Proper nasty, said I needed surgery for broken legs or something mad like that!

A woman rang up, claiming she wasn’t selling anything but needed to ask about an accident I supposedly had (which I haven’t). I told her very clearly to take my number off her list since she was calling my landline that’s only ever been rung a handful of times in years, and all were spam or scams. She kept saying she was trying to help and needed to talk urgently to whoever had been in the crash outside my house. No one has. Then she asked about someone else in my family. I calmly told her it was just a spam or sales call and to stop ringing me again.

I've received a couple of calls from this unfamiliar number, but they disconnected as soon as I picked up. I even tried sending them a text, but it didn’t go through, and they’ve chosen not to respond to my mobile number. Quite the mystery!

Received a call this afternoon at approximately 3:15. Answered with a simple "hello" and hesitated a moment, expecting some sort of introduction. The caller identified himself as Mark, but when I didn’t engage further, he abruptly ended the call! Quite odd, really.

Got a call today saying I’d supposedly been in a crash that wasn’t even my fault! The number was hidden, so I just blocked it and reported it to the TPS. Definitely sounds like a scam.

If you check Facebook, you'll see pictures of her big fancy house and flashy cars, but you'd never guess they come from honest work. Her silly husband Reno’s in on it as well. Plus, her brother-in-law Tony has some pretty creepy interests in young girls.

Got a call from a woman who kept saying she wasn’t trying to sell me anything and that the call wasn’t illegal. She said it was about some car crash I was meant to be involved in. I told her off for ringing me out of the blue and told her to take me off their calling list, then just ended the call. Not sure they even care when you get annoyed and tell them to stop.

Got a call here in Wiltshire from someone saying they were with a road investigation team about an accident supposedly at my place. Told them straight away to take my number off their list or I'd be tracing the call. Ended the call pretty sharp before giving them any chance to chat more. Definitely felt like harassment to me.

Got a call from a bloke claiming he was with the UK's road traffic department. He asked if I'd been involved in any accidents and said I was obliged to report it.
