Just like the person before me mentioned, some bloke from overseas called and even used my first name! I just said 'bye', ended the call, then blocked the number and dropped a report here. Turns out the number is linked to Gamma Telecom Holdings Ltd, who I’ve already flagged to OFCOM not long ago. If they ring again, I might have to get in touch with 'You & Yours' on BBC Radio 4 about it! If you're up for it, give OFCOM a bell on 020 7981 3040 and let them know about Gamma Telecom Holdings Ltd.

As soon as I picked up, the call ended straight away - probably one of those scam calls.

Some bloke called claiming he could save me thousands on my insurance. I told him straight up he sounded like a fraud from Lahore, and then he just hung up on me.

Got a call from 0161 549 0157, some bloke with an accent that used my first name right away. He said it was about life insurance but when I asked which company, he just hung up. These dodgy calls come through all the time, like from Amazon, Visa or some supposed life insurance firms - total scams. Seriously, how come BT doesn’t crack down on these calls more? Loads of them come from overseas voices and just bounce around innocent peoples’ numbers. It’s really annoying.

For more than two years, I've been getting calls from all sorts of different numbers. These folks are dodgy, always trying to trick me into giving out my personal info. Sounds like they've also managed to snag my number and are spreading it around. Definitely not to be trusted.

Beware of calls from numbers like 03332470000 or 0161 549 0157 - they’re definitely scams. Don’t answer or engage with them!

These scammers seem to be from a bunch operating in India from different places. Authorities have tried tracking down the main people behind it but havent had any luck. If this number calls you, just hang up and block em, cause they dont give up easy and can be really risky.
