Got a call from someone claiming to be with Three, saying they could lower my bill. Thing is, they didn’t seem to know anything about me, even though I’m actually a Three customer. Pretty sure it was a scam.

Woke up to a robo call at half 7 from someone claiming to be Amazon saying I’d been billed £79 for Prime membership and to press 1 if that wasn’t right. Didn’t bother pressing anything. Then, about an hour later, got another call from “BT” asking if I wanted to test my internet speed. Told them I’ve got several internet accounts and asked which one they meant, then just ended the call. Quite the start to the day! :) :) :)

Got a call telling me I’d been in a car crash, then she started talking about a work injury. Once I mentioned I’m actually a bus driver, she just ended the call abruptly.

Got a robo call claiming my Amazon Prime is about to expire and that I should press some numbers to fix it. Of course I didn’t press anything. These calls drive me nuts. I’ve got a BT line and not many blocked number spaces left, so it’s annoying as hell. Why am I meant to pay for something just so I can stop these scammers? It’s ridiculous!

Got a call from some lot pretending to be HMRC. Absolute muppets who just have nothing better to do than try and scam honest folks out of their cash. Proper low down stuff.

Got a call today from someone claiming to do a pension survey for the National Pensions Dept. Turns out, they’re actually some sort of claims outfit, nothing to do with pensions, more like an old PPI claims firm. They really didn’t know much about pensions at all!

I got a call a couple of times this week and there was a bit of a lag when I answered. The caller said her name was Jennifer and claimed she was from some UK international organisation or something. She wanted to talk to someone in my house by name, but I didn’t bother continuing and just ended the call.

I received a call from someone claiming to be with the UK National Pensions Helpline. Before he could delve into his spiel, I requested his FCA registration number. Without hesitation, he cut the call. It seems fairly safe to conclude that this was a fraudulent attempt.

Just received a call on my mobile, and when I picked up, it was silent on the other end. I could make out some faint sounds in the background, but no one was chatting. After a brief moment, they simply disconnected. I've now added them to my blocked list.

Received a call earlier from this number, originating in Manchester. The chap on the other end requested my name, to which I responded by asking what the reason for his inquiry was. He assured me it was nothing significant, but then proceeded to inquire about my pension. At that point, the conversation abruptly concluded. Quite the odd interaction, if you ask me!

Quite dubious, really. There was utter silence on the line, as if they were merely probing to see if someone was actually at home. I could hear some office chatter and the distant sound of other calls being handled. Definitely raises a few eyebrows!
