Every time I pick up a call from 0161, there’s just quiet on the other end before it suddenly cuts off. I swear these calls come through almost daily, even though I’ve blocked the number ages ago.

Some bloke rang up asking about my wife's insurance, but when I told him he wasn’t with the actual health company but just some middleman, he snapped back, “oh, so you’re with them then? You know how we do things ‘ere.” He kicked off the chat with a “alright mate, can I have a word with ‘wife's name'?” I tried to get which firm he was with again, but he just threw the phone down. Proper dodgy if you ask me.
