Got a call at 8.15 in the morning, and straight away I knew it was dodgy. Someone was trying to rope me into a fake court case about tax evasion. I flipped the script and started asking him questions instead, trying to gather his details. He claimed to be from Edinburgh HMRC, mentioned some case number CVVR 2749 and gave a personal ID number 19471. The phone number he used was 0161 546 6046. After a while, he just gave up and called me an idiot and told me to F*** off. Pretty obvious he wanted me to send money over email today, but I wasn’t having any of it!
