I've refrained from replying, and I'm seriously considering ditching my landline altogether if the incessant number of scam and fraudulent calls doesn't let up. It's becoming quite unbearable!

Got a call from someone claiming to be 'TakePayments', said they offer an online card payment service. Asked if we accepted payments online and the usual spiel. Thing is, we already use TakePayments, so you'd think they'd have that info already! Planning on letting the real TakePayments know about this.

This number has been giving me a right nuisance! The caller hangs up as soon as my voicemail kicks in, so clearly they don’t think it’s worth their while to leave a message. They've been ringing off the hook for days now! Absolute waste of time, if you ask me.

Some bloke rang asking for our Company Director by his first name, like they were mates or something. I said he wasn't around, then he asked for an email. I gave him a general one, so we'll see if anything turns up. I'm guessing it was just another cold caller having a go. You kinda get a feel for their routine after a while.

They rang up asking for our business manager, saying they were from Barclays. I asked for a callback number but he said they don’t take incoming calls and that he’d ring us back. Not very clever, because I did a 1471 and got his number, which lead me to this site. Pretty obvious it was a scam!!

Got a phone call saying we’d been given a parking ticket and had to cough up £200 or else they’d take us to court. I asked them to send all the info in writing. That was three weeks ago and I still haven’t received anything in the post or via email!

Called me three times, only answered on the last. A woman was saying she wanted to help small businesses handle payments. She didn’t know if I actually owned a business or its name. She was really unclear about her offer and only knew my name. She said she worked for Take Payments and sent me to their website [#]takepayments[###]. The contact numbers there were different, so I left them a voicemail to alert them about these scam calls.
