I just saw the missed call but didn’t bother answering since no one left a voicemail. After reading all these reviews, I’m definitely going to block the number.

A bloke called Sam rang me, claiming he was some healthcare worker from around here and asked how everyone was doing. I told him that if he really was the local health worker, he’d already know how we were, then I just ended the call. Sounds like a dodgy medical scam to me.

Got a call from someone named Sam, said he was a health worker, but the number was from Manchester, pretty far from where I live. When I asked, he said he was with the SOS Button Centre. Turns out, it’s one of those medical alert scams. My number’s on the TPS list, so definitely watch out for this sort of thing.

I got a call out of nowhere, someone trying to sell me a medical alarm for emergencies if I were to fall. They claimed my medical records suggested I was at risk, which confused me since I don't have any such issues. When I asked how they got that info, they couldn't really explain. They then mentioned it was probably wise given my age, so I asked them to guess it - they had no clue. Honestly, steer clear of this, feels like a total scam to me.

I got a call from these lot claiming I had some health issue and that I needed a fall alarm. I told them I was fit and didn't need any of that nonsense, and then they went on saying it was my choice if I wanted to gamble with my life in an emergency. Proper cheeky!

This number rang me about 9 in the morning. There was a brief silence and a clicking noise before a man, with a clear English accent and sounding pretty young, said "Hello". It felt a bit like some sort of AI trick, but I didn’t hang around to check. Thinking it might be a scam, I asked firmly, "Who’s this?" but got no answer. I asked again, and then they just hung up.

I called this number but they just dropped the call straight away. After checking it out, I guess I didn’t come across as old or at risk to them.

Got two calls today about some medical scam. The first was from someone called Sam, which was a total giveaway it was a scam, and just now I got another call but it was silent and then they just dropped the phone. Seems dodgy for sure.

Had a bloke named Sam ring me up selling some medical pendant for £1.79. I told him to put me on their do not call list, but he just carried on like I wasn’t even there, jabbering away at the phone. Told him to stop but he ignored me. Ended up blocking the number.

There was a bit of silence and then a click before the person picked up. He said, "I'm Sam, the healthcare worker around your neighbourhood." When I asked how I could be sure it was really him - I don’t trust random phone calls - he just said have a nice day and hung up!

I got a call about some kind of emergency alert system for old folks, they were trying to charge me £1.50 each week but said they could knock it down to £1.33.

Got a call from some medical alert button company, thought it might be dodgy. The voice seemed like one of those robot calls. Had nothing better to do, so I gave a made-up name like Slobodov Splodovolob and an address claiming to live at Scoobydoo House on Hollywood Boulevard, China. Then I started yelling stuff in Japanese, just for laughs. That’s when they suddenly said they understood and ended the call. Still, I reckon some folks might end up falling for this kind of scam.

Total scam. They started by asking “can you hear me” like they were trying to figure out if I’m old or something? Claimed to be Sam, some local health advisor, but the number wasn’t even from around here. I just hung up and blocked the number straight away.

this system seems fully automated and reacts only when you say certain words after pauses in what it’s playing. i left it going with my on hold music for like six minutes before it finally stopped. it’s basically a trick to catch you, recording exactly what they want to hear from you. these scammers designed the interactive voice to trap you like this.

Some bloke called himself Sam, claiming to be a “local health advisor,” but I knew it was one of those dodgy scams so I just hung up. Sounds just like the guy who rings saying he’s from “Windows and Doors” or the one who pretends to be the “Government Energy Consultant” for my neighbourhood. Best not to waste time chatting with these scammers - just drop the call!

Got a call from a young bloke who claimed he knew I was over 70 and had some health issues, and that I’d really benefit from wearing a pendant. I tried to tell him nicely that I’m actually 65, so whatever list he’s using must be wrong. But he just kept going, reading from a script that he clearly wasn’t allowed to change. When I tried to cut in, he kept babbling about sending me a pendant anyway. In the end, he gave up, probably because he’d run out of things to say!

I got a call from a guy who said his name was Sam. He said he worked for some company nearby that sells health alert bracelets which connect to a central system for emergencies or something. I kept telling him nicely to stop calling but he just stuck to his script and wouldn't give up. The weird thing was, his voice sounded really familiar, like the local energy advisor or the loft insulation person who's come to my house before.

He told me my number was passed on because of some health problems, and that I was eligible for a medical alert pendant. On Friday 5th July 2024, I got a call on my landline from 0161 545 2438 at about 3.46pm. I picked up, and after a brief pause, a man’s voice asked “are you there?” I said yes, but then nothing for a while. Feeling a bit fed up, I just said bye and ended the call. Later, I looked up the number on ‘Who Called Me’ and saw it might be connected to a scam trying to sell medical emergency products. It’s more of a pest than a real scam, and I’m wondering why the UK’s TPS doesn’t block these calls. I’ve reported it to Action Fraud just in case.

Someone called Sam said he was a local health worker and mentioned that since I’m over 60 and have a medical issue, I qualify for a free trial of a medical alert pendant. He said it’d be free for a month, then cost £1.71 daily after.
