I got a call that sounded like it came from some kind of AI. The voice was super clear, polite and confident - definitely seemed like a person at first, very professional and scripted. She gave her name and the company right away, just like a legit caller would. I tried asking her something, and after a tiny pause and what sounded like a faint click, she answered right away, no hesitation like she was pulling it from a script or database. Then she went right back to the same main question, ‘Are you the owner of the property?’ with the exact same tone each time. I asked if she was human or a robot, and she claimed she wasn’t a robot. But instead of chatting like a normal person might, she just repeated the question about home ownership again, like a looped recording. Definitely one of those clever setups that could easily fool you if you’re not paying attention. Next time I’m gonna throw some oddball questions their way just to see how they cope :o)

Got a call from someone pushing brand new windows, claiming there’s some sort of new deal in my neighbourhood. I asked if it was a government thing, and the silence was so long I nearly hung up on him! Eventually, he said no, it wasn’t. Told him I was registered with the TPS and asked why he was bothering me.
