Without a doubt, they are total pros at scamming people.

They were acting like some insurance or trading firm. Really rude and kept ringing me non stop.

FRAUD ALERT!!! They acted like a legit debt consolidation firm and I actually got in touch with them thinking they were genuine. Turns out, they copied my bank card details and attempted to buy stuff with it. Luckily they didn’t succeed much!!!

I’ve picked up loads of these calls but no one ever talks, they mostly ring at night. I blocked the number, then got another call from a different one. When I answered, a bloke asked why I blocked him. I just hung up. Starting to feel a bit worried now.

A chap rang me regarding a review of my insurance policy, but when pressed, he mentioned it was about my funeral expenses cover from Aviva. I’m almost certain that I don’t have any funeral cover in place and have never arranged anything of the sort. When I informed him I didn’t have such a policy, he abruptly ended the call. Quite peculiar, if you ask me!

Got two calls today from someone claiming to be from a Life Insurance firm checking on my payments due to Covid 19 - problem is, I don’t even have life insurance and they couldn’t even get my name right. Pretty obvious it was a scam, so I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number now.

Got a really rude call from some place calling themselves the Legal Advice Centre. A bloke called Jamie said a load of nasty things to me, calling me an idiot and a fool. He even left a message saying he’s gonna keep ringing me no matter what.

Got a call from this number around 11:30 today. I just let it go to voicemail since I didn’t recognise it. Usually, scam callers hang up as soon as the answer machine kicks in. This way, you can look up the number later and block it if needed. With the authorities doing so little to clamp down on these scam calls and the number of them on the rise, I reckon our phones need way better blocking features to deal with this problem.

I saw a missed call from this number and decided to call back. Got a robotic "thank you for calling" message, then some weird hold music played. No company name or anything, which felt quite strange. No one picked up after that, so I googled the number on my laptop and came across a warning about it. Doesn't look like a genuine call to me.

It took ages for this daft woman to say anything once I picked up. Strange sounds in the background too. She said I'd cancelled some life insurance policy I supposedly had. No clue what she was on about, didn’t even say her name or which company she was with. I’ve never had any policy like that. Seemed like she just wanted to match my name with the phone number called. Proper fishy. When I pressed her for answers, she said she’d fix their records and then quickly ended the call.
