Got a call from an Indian bloke earlier. When he asked my age, I said I was 72 (which I'm not). He then started firing off questions I really didn’t want to answer. I asked straight up if it was a scam since I watch Scammerpayback on YouTube. He just hung up right away. Ain’t got all day to waste chatting with those types - I’ll leave it to Pierogi to handle it lol!

They said they were doing a National Survey and claimed they found my info from 'publicly available sources' which seemed a bit dodgy cos they had a postcode I haven't lived at for like 15 years. When I wouldn’t tell them my present postcode, they warned me I’d be getting calls tomorrow, the day after and nonstop after that.

What a bunch of muppets, scammers through and through. I’ve never come across anyone named Albert, then the next day the same lad’s calling as Peter. They really deserve a proper telling off and a stint behind bars to wrap it up.

Had a quick look with Gladstone Brookes and it’s not from them. They said I’ve won £1800 but gotta pay £5 a week for some insurance before I can claim it. Told the guy to ring me back tomorrow, just to check. Sounds pretty legit but don’t fall for it!

A woman with an Indian accent rang me up asking if I was (the fake name I always give for online shopping and stuff). I could tell straight away it was another scam call, so I asked where she got my number from, and then she just cut the call.

I picked up a call from 07866 514528 and this man said he was from some national service, asking if he could ask me a few questions. He already knew my full name and address. I ended the call, but then he rang back from the same number. I told him to take my info off their system, but he refused and even said he’d share my details with other firms so I’d get loads more calls because I ‘betrayed him’ by hanging up. I just ended it again! Properly nasty behaviour!

Got a call from this number, some Asian guy claiming to be from the Financial Ombudsman saying I had a PPI refund to sort out. Asked if I wanted the money by cheque or bank transfer. Then he says the bank would take 40% unless I had a tax-free policy like mortgage or life insurance, and offered to set one up for me. Spoke to him for a bit, asked loads of questions about the claim which he couldn’t answer. I basically told him to keep the 40% since I wasn’t expecting any money. Turns out this is just a scam trying to get my bank info. Don’t trust it, block 01615432457.

Got a call from a bloke with an Asian accent, chatting about PPI refunds from some bank loan. Thing is, I've already claimed all my PPI compensation ages ago. So I kept him on the line. Told him if I’m owed anything, to just send a cheque made out to me. He phoned last week, I said to send a cheque, still nothing arrived. Then he called again today, I repeated it, and he just hung up. Sounds like he’s trying to reel in my bank info.

Blocking doesnt work cause they just switch numbers all the time. Ive had loads of calls that seem linked. Once, I made up stuff when they asked questions and told them I was a cop, then asked for their full name and address. They just ended the call on the spot without a word.

I told him I was waiting for an important phone call and asked again what he wanted. He said he might be that call and insisted on asking his questions. I said no and he got really nasty, saying he’d just hang up on me. I told him not before I did and put the phone down. He called back and said I was very rude. I hung up on him again. Got a missed call around 8.30 this morning while I was having a shower. Pretty sure it’s one of those Beneficial uses scam numbers. Absolute rude scammers, been getting calls every day for more than two years now. Blocking doesn’t help cause they keep changing the numbers. So annoying!

I had an interesting encounter with a gentleman who had quite the Indian accent, claiming to be named Albert Jordan. We had a little chat about his rather peculiar name, and he went on to say he’s a towering 7-foot basketball player. Apparently, he thought I might fit in for an injured teammate, considering he believed I was also involved in the sport. I had to clarify that I stand at a mere 4 foot 8 - hardly the right fit! Surprisingly, this didn’t deter him at all. He boldly suggested I could give it a go! His team was the Sydney Thunder, but curiously, the call came from a Manchester number. They were offering to cover my travel expenses; quite generous, right? (Definitely a scam in the making!) Eventually, after having a laugh about the whole thing, he finally ended the call, and it seemed as though someone else in the background had maybe prompted him to do so. Honestly, these sorts of callers need to be dealt with!

i usually dont pick up calls from numbers i dont know. if it's important, they can just leave a voicemail. since i didnt get one, im guessing its just a random call so ive blocked the number now.
