I got calls from some energy sales people who were talking about Brexit as the reason why prices are going up. When I asked them questions, they couldn’t really give any proper answers. They kept calling me "love" and even used the name from my email instead of my actual name! It was pretty annoying.

I don't pick up at all, just hang up and block immediately. Still, I'm sure they'll work out a new number to try again. Makes me wonder exactly where they got my number from.

I received a call from a woman with a rather unfamiliar accent claiming to be from Octopus Energy. However, she mispronounced my postcode when inquiring about my address, which raised my suspicions. I expressed my doubts about her being genuinely affiliated with Octopus and promptly terminated the conversation. She didn’t glean any information from me; it seemed she was trying to convince me to lower my payments. With winter approaching, that just seems unrealistic!
