Today, I received a call from 0161 542 7260. A chap named Fabian introduced himself as being from O2, touting a so-called 40% reduction on my monthly bill. He mentioned he would provide a code that I was supposed to recite back to him. Beware: DO NOT repeat that code! When I requested he send the information via post and stated that I would contact O2 immediately to verify this offer, he abruptly hung up. It’s clear that my instincts were spot on - this was indeed a SCAM, as confirmed by O2.
