I picked up this one on April 14th, 2026 around 1.22pm since the number had a Manchester area code. But the moment the lady started talking about a "legal claim," I quickly hung up. Sounds like one of those typical car finance scams to me. Be careful with familiar-looking codes!

Got a call claiming to be about car finance, but sounded like a scam to steal your info. Definitely phishing, so I just blocked the number straight away.

+44 161 541 2956 I got a phone call today from someone asking if I’d be interested in setting up a funeral plan. The chap named John seemed quite well-informed about the whole thing. Although he was keen on getting me to sign up right away, I asked him to send me the information via email instead. Yet, I’m still waiting for that email to come through!
