FREDRICK EDWARDS = TOTAL SCAM, avoid this firm at all costs! They constantly ignore their own rules and then try to trick you into thinking you’ve messed up, just so they can charge you £240. Then they bombard you with emails trying to force payment. Don't fall for these con artists! They pretend they've spoken to HMRC on your behalf but actually haven’t. Absolutely sounds like a PPI nuisance. They’re keen to get you to reclaim tax on your salary or pensions-some sort of con job, if you ask me. They requested to have a chat with my partner, but only provided a company name. When I probed for details about their intentions, they claimed it was all hush-hush due to data protection nonsense. Then they insisted on speaking to my husband once more, to which I thought: he won’t spill anything to me, so why bother? I simply hung up. They’re relentless, akin to pesky jackals that just won't budge.

Got a call from Frederick Edwards Ltd claiming I was due a refund on tax I’d overpaid. They tried to say I was getting £500 back, but it turned out that was just my tax allowance at the 40% bracket. Got a call from a guy today - I’d had loads of missed calls from the same number over the last few weeks but was too busy with work to pick up. I had a look at their website and it seemed pretty legit. Just got the packet she sent and after comparing it with my bank’s settlement letters, turns out she was spot on!

Had a call out of the blue about a supposed PPI tax refund, they followed up with a text asking me to sign something, claiming it’s quicker than post. Then asked for my NI number, which I refused to give. Found this site and decided to ignore their calls. Got a letter about a 240 quid breach of contract, spoke to my solicitor who advised me to just ignore it. Tried calling them back, but no answer and got cut off after waiting 25 minutes. Sounds like a total scam to me.

Fredrick called asking to talk to my dad, saying it was something personal he needed to discuss in person. When I asked what it was about, he just kept saying it was private and promised he was polite with an English accent. He asked loads more questions, but every time I said it was a personal matter for my dad. Then I told him my father had passed away, and he quickly said sorry, said he’d take him off the list, and hung up. I really don’t get how the same number can be behind so many different calls. Isn’t there any way the police can track these scammers down and stop them?
