This company called me a couple of times, something like Homeshield, I believe. The guy knew my name and where I live, which was a bit creepy. He said my washing machine insurance had run out and wanted to renew it. I asked him which machine he meant, and he said an AEG, but I don’t own one of those. I told him straight away that’s not right and asked him to remove me from their calling list.

This number showed up on my phone a couple of times, and I don’t usually pick up numbers I don’t recognise. But every now and then I answer just in case it’s something urgent. It’s crazy that so many folks still don’t have caller ID or feel they must answer every call in case it’s something important. It’s honestly sad that some people stoop so low, trying to scam others and maybe even take their cash. I can’t imagine how they live with themselves doing that.
