Got another ring from the same number today, and just like the first time, I didn’t give them my name when they asked. Told the person on the phone it’s the second time they’ve called me today and that I already asked them to remove my number. After that, they said the call was being monitored and threatened to track me down before abruptly hanging up. Pro tip: always ask them to delete your number first before they start talking about tracing the call!

There’s no point in blocking them. These scammers just ring you again from a load of fake numbers churned out by their computers. It’s like a never-ending cycle!

You can’t report scam numbers anymore through the police Action Fraud site, they’ve switched it so now you need to text 7726 instead - it’s not a police number at all. I’d suggest having a word with your MP about why these scam calls and threats can’t be logged directly on the police’s phishing report form anymore. I bet the scammers are proper chuffed that it’s now much harder to get these calls officially recorded with the police.
