Got a ring from 1st Central, they were just checking in about a job I applied for.

They keep calling but the moment I pick up, nothing. Just silence. I bet it's one of those scams trying to hit up as many numbers as possible. Proper annoying, honestly.

Last night, I found myself with three missed calls from this particular number whilst I was catching some z’s. Upon attempting to return the call, I discovered that the number was unreachable. I haven’t a clue who might be behind it, especially since there were no voicemails left. Quite the mystery!

They keep ringing me daily, each time with a slightly changed number at the end. I've blocked loads of them but the calls just won't stop.

They keep ringing me but when I checked, the number isn't linked to any real business.

I've been getting calls from this number pretty much every day, and I'm starting to think it might be dodgy. It feels like harassment at this point.

Got two missed calls today, but neither left a message. Pretty strange.

Inquiring whether I had any unsecured debts is quite amusing, especially with the mention of a government initiative supposedly wiping everything clean. Interestingly enough, I work in debt advisory myself and couldn’t help but chuckle at the nonsensical drivel this character was spouting. It feels rather fishy - almost like a con from abroad masquerading as an established UK entity. The Money Advice Bureau? Quite the original title, isn’t it? Best to block and report them immediately!

Got a call from a private number today and the person never told me who they were. Any idea who this might be?

Got missed calls twice today within a few hours, but when I dialled back, it said the number wasn’t available. Sounds like one of those fake UK numbers used by loan or insurance call centres overseas. They probably buy phone lists and pretend to be local to get you to pick up. Typical hassle with those.

It was all eerily quiet before the call cut off. I have a hunch they were just biding their time, hoping I’d spill my name first. A word of advice: never reveal your identity unless you’re absolutely certain about who's on the other end. Insist that they identify themselves before you share any details about yourself.

Initially quiet, then suddenly a blaring siren pierced the silence.

When I picked up the call, all I heard was an intrusive beep. Turns out it was the National Debt Centre ringing me about some new government initiative to help tackle debt. The caller then inquired whether I had any unsecured debts. I quipped that if they were really who they claimed to be, they ought to already know that, and just like that, she hung up on me! Quite the cheek, if you ask me.

Received a call from someone purporting to be from the national debt assistance office. When I informed them I wasn't looking for assistance, they abruptly hung up on me.

My phone was eerily quiet and then just completely switched off.
