When I answered this number, there was just silence at first, but then a man speaking with an English/Indian accent came on, asking for me by my full name. I said "Hello" a few times to see what he'd do, and he got pretty annoyed, snapping that he could hear me and to stop saying hello. I’m convinced it was a telemarketer so I’ve blocked the number straight away.

Got a call from some bloke claiming to be about "life insurance" who was really just after my personal info. Kept asking for my home address saying they’d send stuff through the post and was eager to know if I’m working. I told him straight I don’t hand out personal info on calls. Proper pushy fella, dodged any questions about the call being dodgy, just like a scammer would. No decent company would behave like that, honestly.

I received an unsolicited call today from someone purporting to be a discount partner affiliated with O2, claiming they could secure me a whopping 40% off my phone plan. Interestingly, they referred to my previous address in an attempt to confirm who I was, but O2 have my current address on file, so it all felt rather dubious.
