3 yearsI've had quite a few calls from this number lately, so I finally decided to pick up today to see who it was. To my surprise, the caller informed me that my renewal payment for domestic appliances was outstanding. I made it clear that I don’t have any insurance for them, but she persisted, claiming that I was indeed covered and even mentioned a payment of £220 I supposedly made last July. I’ve searched high and low and can't find anything indicating that I've ever paid that amount to Professional Appliance Repairs or any other outfit. So, either someone is very kindly covering my appliances without my knowledge - which seems rather implausible - or there's been an error, or perhaps a scam is afoot.
